What will you be doing?
- Assist learners with self-care independence skills including eating, drinking, washing, bathing, using the toilet or managing incontinence, dressing and undressing, mobility and transport, getting up and going to bed, and the administration of medication.
- Remain awake and alert at all times to ensure the safety and welfare of learners in residence throughout the night.
- Ensure that learners’ care files are updated and accurate and maintained.
- At the start of a shift, ensure that communication and log books are read and understood. Liaise with staff on duty at handover times so that information on the needs of learners is properly recorded and acted upon.

About St. John's College
St. John’s College (Brighton) is a non-maintained college, providing specialist education, therapy and care. We work with young people (aged 16-25 years), many of whom are autistic and/or have complex learning disabilities and other secondary needs, such as hearing/visual impairment and mental health needs.
